The urgent need for a blog!

While trying to join the One Block Wonders Viewing Party I was having terrible trouble linking to Sandi's blog. I have thought about starting a blog  to share what I do to fill my time now that I am retired after a lifetime of working, and it just happens that this may solve my linking problems. So, here I am, a very simple start with the thought of flashing things up later!

Two blocks completed of what may turn into a table runner. I had a lot of fun playing with different fabrics and decided that I liked this layout best. Looking forward to next months blocks!

You should be able to link an Instagram or Flickr photo, but blogging your quilt journey is a lot of fun

  2. Julie, wonderful to know you have begun your blog. This will be such a good way with lots of fun to join in and catch up with everyone else. And,as well, let others know what else you do in quilting, or life, pets, your place or landscape where you are. Where do you live? And I do like your colours and layout.

  3. Wow, I just read your profile, I grew up in TeHihi, went to Pukekohe High School for one year, and sat my driving license there in 1955!!! And usually had a calf or yearling in the Franklin A&P show each year. What a small world indeed.

    1. Thanks for your kind words. We are actually in Patumahoe and I do know the area around Te Hihi. Our kids went to Pukekohe High School and the first of the grandchildren is attending there now! You are right about it being a small world!

    2. Hi Julie, it is all so different there now, we drove round TeHihi a few years ago, and I was stunned at all the mansions on what was my Dad's farm. The school bus used to come from WaiauPa, Glenbrook,Kingseat, then drive down Batty's Road, up to Ostrich Road, and go past Paerata. I was there in 1953, then went to Papakura High.Having a blog has opened up my world hugely, and friends in so many places round the world now. My blog is ...All Points of the Compass... Cheers, Jean.
